Creating Welcoming and Inclusive Environments for LGBTQ+ Youth

Expressing and exploring sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender roles is a typical part of adolescent development. LGBTQ+ youth face additional challenges due to how others respond to their sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. This training will be provided by Equitas Health Lead Trainer Ramona Peel, MA, and it will explore health disparities and discrimination experienced by LGBTQ+ youth. This training will also provide insight on best practices for creating welcoming and inclusive environments for this population. This presentation is co-sponsored by Love on a Mission.
