LGBTQ+ Health Inequities: Why Do They Exist and How Do We Fight Them?

The LGBTQ+ community experiences a wide variety of health disparities and inequities, in addition to numerous forms of prejudice and discrimination. This training will explore these differences in health outcomes and their root causes. The roles of social norms such as cisnormativity and heteronormativity will be also be explained. Your Presenter, Ramona Peel (she/her), will leave you with some practical tips about how to create welcoming and inclusive experiences in health & wellness spaces for LGBTQ+ people. There will also be a live Q&A with Ramona.
