The Transforming Care Conference is an annual event that brings together healthcare providers, activists, and community members who share a commitment to LGBTQ+ and HIV health equity. TCC inspires action-focused conversations about the issues that matter most to our communities. With both in-person and virtual attendance options, the conference unites a vibrant mix of attendees and presenters who elevate each other’s voices and lived experiences.

2022 Transforming Care Conference: Stronger Together. Thriving across Differences invites us to unite in our power as activists, providers, patients, and community leaders. Our bodies, our healthcare, and our civil rights are under attack. Gender-affirming care for youth, anti-racist education, and bodily self-determination have once again become political lightning rods. While it would be easy to let the constant swirl of politics and online debate divide us, we must stay strong. As we enter the fifth decade of the HIV/AIDS crisis, the need for health equity, advocacy, and justice is more urgent than ever.

We can meet today’s challenges by being true to our lived experiences and ourselves. Stronger Together. Thriving across Differences celebrates our community’s diversity as the source of our collective strength. In the unforgettable words of poet Audre Lorde, “Differences must be not merely tolerated, but seen as a fund of necessary polarities between which our creativity can spark like a dialectic.”

Let’s discover that spark and pave the road to LGBTQ+ and HIV health equity together.
